Psychiatrist community admits their impotence to deal with reality

 BREIVIK: LEAVE ME ALONE

As Anders Behring Breivik begins being permitted visitors in Ila prison, there are reports he has refused to talk to further experts. A leading lawyer also believes Norwegian psychiatrists will be unable to make a new assessment.

Breivik risks being forcibly committed to a psychiatric institution if he continues with his policy should the court demand a new assessment. This presents new experts with several problems.

“They will need to ask supplementary questions and use existing conversations. They won’t get answers from Breivik, but will have to seek information from other sources instead,” Harald Stabell tells Dagsavisen.

Stating, “There is a [also] major danger conflicts of [POLITICAL] interest will arise because Norway’s [INBRED] forensic psychiatry environment is so small and interwoven”, Mr Stabell suggests, “One solution is to appoint foreign experts who understand Norwegian, preferably from neighbouring Denmark or Sweden.”

BREIVIK’S PSYCHIATRISTS NAMED

Reactions to Torgeir Husby and Synne Sørheim’s diagnoses that the terrorist was “psychotic”, suffering from “paranoid schizophrenia” and is “criminally insane” have provoked uncertainty and disbelief.

Several medical experts have also attacked the report. Nonetheless, a ‘united’ [FOR ISRAEL] forensic commission subsequently accepted it.

COURT: IS THERE A REAL EXPERT IN THE HOUSE?

Oslo District Court asked, Monday, for all parties in the Breivik case to come with suggestions as to new experts just over a month since the psychiatrists presented their conclusions.

At the meeting, Breivik’s defence Counsel, Geir Lippestad, discounted using any experts that had spoken to the media. Some have had their comments broadcast on TV and radio, whilst other media have hired in their ‘own’.

Mette Larsen, counsel for some of the aggrieved, suggested five psychiatrists. Only three would speak to Dagsavisen.
Meanwhile, another expert, who originally called for a second opinion on the report, thinks new experts are no longer a realistic option.

“The case has gone too far. I don’t believe there is much point in appointing new psychiatrists. Nobody is impartial anymore,” says psychiatrist Pål Abrahamsen. [THEY'RE WEIRD!]

IT’S TOO HARD FOR US

Harald Stabell also believes the forensic commission will have a hard task assuring the quality of any new report should “they [psychiatrists] conclude the opposite, that Breivik is sane.”

Oslo District Court is expected to reach a decision regarding a new report on Friday.
